Underfloor heating works through the circulation of hot or cold water inside a circuit of pipes below floor surface. The result is the transformation of the whole mass of the floor into a heat radiator. The system is ideal for combining with modern condensing boilers and heat pumps for great savings. While offering low running costs, it also generates great thermal comfort and a pleasant feeling of warmth. Underfloor water circuits can also provide cooling, but it’s a better idea to use fan coils instead. The floor heating is a system with high latency, namely it is slow to deliver heat once the heating system is switched on but it maintains good temperatures for much time after you shut down the heating system.
